SPE R&D white paper
SPE’s Research and Development Advisory Committee is a standing committee that promotes awareness of R&D challenges in the oil and gas industry. Committee members including Arnis Judzis, Vice President and General Manager, Schlumberger Data and Consulting Services, recently published a white paper on the challenges of securing the “third trillion barrels” of oil and gas.
The white paper has a number of interesting and compelling references to heavy oil as a major factor in providing future energy supplies. It’s a good summary covering many of the issues in heavy oil production that we have discussed in our many feature articles, blogs, and forums.
