PTRC winter 2007 newsletter

The latest Petroleum Technology Research Centre newsletter covering a variety of heavy oil topics is now available.

The Canadian Petroleum Technology Research Centre (PTRC) has recently published their winter 2007 newsletter on their web site at  http://www.ptrc.ca/publications.php.  The link to the pdf file can be found at http://www.ptrc.ca/siteimages/LATEST107.pdf.

The newsletter covers the PTRC's core research programs including heavy oil cold flow, enhanced water flooding, miscible/immiscible solvent injection, and near well-bore conformance control. They also highlight JIVE or the Joint Implementation of Vapor Extraction which is a joint government, industry heavy oil solvent vapor extraction project focusing on environmentally "attuned" approaches that are are also commercially viable.

The PTRC continues to drive important heavy oil research and their site and newsletter are great ways to stay in tune with new developments.
