Improving reservoir characterization using accurate flow-rate history

This paper recently presented at the September 2008 SPE ATCE, presents results from field tests of multiphase flow meters in carbonate reservoirs producing Arabian heavy oil.
These tests were conducted with production logging tools that allowed for improved characterization of laminated reservoir layers and enabled more accurate measurements of gas and fluid flow rates in heavy oil.
