Dielectric dispersion applied to heavy oil
A new-generation dielectric tool that is applicable in heavy oil environments is described in SPE article 116130.
The new tool provides a more accurate pore fluid, rock matrix, and structure analysis in heavy oil reservoirs. The paper is a good reference in that is describes the basic physics of dielectric dispersion, how the measurement tool and interpretation system works, and results from field tests.
