CNPC Recognized for Heavy Oil Production Technology

China National Petroleum Corporation was recently recognized with the "Best Production Technology Award" as part of the 2006 World Oil Awards for a series of breakthroughs in heavy oil recovery.
Ahead of the upcoming World Heavy Oil Conference in Beijing, there continues to be growing industry awareness and focus on heavy oil well construction and production technologies. For example, CNPC was recently recognized by the 2006 World Oil Awards for its continued technology contributions related to steam and flue gas injection to increase oil production and sequester CO2. These topics and many more will be no doubt be discussed in more depth at the WHOC.
