We will be running a series of Expert Viewpoint articles on artificial lift in heavy oil authored by Allan Peats, Schlumberger Heavy Oil Business Development Manager. Allan has considerable experience in the application and design of artificial lift (AL) systems for heavy oil, and in the first article provides a great overview of current practice and future trends for improving heavy oil production.
