Dr. Ali Suat Bagci

Dr. Ali Suat Bagci is a Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, UK.

He also worked 25 years in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey. He received a B.Sc. in 1979, M.Sc. in 1981, and a Ph.D. in 1986, all in petroleum engineering from METU.

He was involved in an In-Situ Combustion research project at School of Chemical Engineering in University of Bath from 1988 to 1989. He was also involved several projects in University of Bath, Stanford University and Freiberg University of Technology.

 He has written 90 technical papers in journals and conference proceedings.

 His technical interests include thermal recovery methods, especially in-situ combustion and steam injection, horizontal well applications, chemical injection techniques, formation damage, production optimization, underground gas storage and formation evaluation. He is a member of the SPE.
